A former combat pilot in “Desert Storm,” and currently an airline Captain flying with United Parcel Service for the past 20 years, Chris was born in the heartland of Indiana. His family’s roots are in the small town of Clinton, just north of Terre Haute. “I grew up knowing my grandfather worked in the coal mines as a child. I was reminded of it every time I watched him tie a fishing line. He had to use his middle finger because his right index finger was lost in a coal cart accident. He suffered from Black Lung most of his life. Americans like my grandfather worked hard, didn’t complain, help build this nation, and played by the rules.” Chris lived in New Jersey during his “Tom Sawyer” years before moving to New Hampshire in 1974. Growing up in the “First in the Nation” primary state, Chris joined his father volunteering for Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign in 1980. “My parents taught me the importance of making a difference in America.” Chris graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1985 with a BA in Political Science. A Distinguished Graduate of Air Force ROTC, he was selected to attend a highly competitive program called Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training. In the summer of 1985, Chris married his high school sweetheart Michele. Together, they left home for Texas to serve America. Graduating from flight training, Lieutenant Hill was assigned as a U.S. Air Force Fighter Pilot to the 335th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina. In 1990 he was flying the F-4 Phantom when he was selected to transition to America’s newest fighter, the F-15E Strike Eagle. “I flew more than 50 combat missions in Desert Storm. On January 17, 1991 we attacked an oil refinery near Basra, Iraq. Coming out of the target area with SAM’s and AAA, we lost one of our planes and two close friends, Major Tom Koritz and Lt. Col. Donnie Holland. People say ‘Freedom isn’t Free.’ It’s true. Losing brothers in battle gives Veterans a unique perspective of war and of America, itself. We must encourage nations to take responsibility for their own freedom and restore peace to America.” At the rank of Captain, Chris was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1993. His family, which now included their son, returned home to New Hampshire. Thankful to once again be living near family and friends, Chris worked part time loading trucks for UPS. In January of 1994, Chris was hired to fly for UPS. Over the last 20 years as an airline pilot, he has worked in 48 of the 50 states, Europe, Mexico and Canada. “During my trips, I have met the people who make this nation great. Politicians want us to believe we are a divided people. We are not. Most of us are working hard and raising our families. We are simply Americans.” In March 2010, Chris organized “Pilots and Patriots Defending the Constitution.” In the elections of 2010, with over 750 members, they joined many grassroots organizations calling for Liberty. Together, they defeated the agenda of Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and removed Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. In 2011 Chris joined the field of Republicans running for President of the United States. Ever the optimist Chris said, In the end we tied Mitt Romney! Fun aside, I hope Americans understand how important their votes will be in 2016. Voters tell me they want a President they can support, not just another candidate from the establishment. An American first, not a ‘Citizen of the World.’ A Veteran who took an oath to the Constitution, not party politics. One, who stood by that oath on the field of battle. With your help, together we will Let America Soar Again!”
