Let me be perfectly clear for anyone who wasnt sure. I am a Jew, and I have great love for the history, culture and religion of my people. I dont really tell people that anymore for the shame and guilt I feel is overwhelming. Let me be clear, the actions of the state of Israel, and a scary SCARY number of Jews around the world, are reprehensible. This is not a war, a two-sided conflict, or a crisis between two factions. This is a brutal assault by an occupying, racist and colonizing power on a basically defenseless people. There is no moral argument to support Israel. There is no justification for any of this. Jews should know better. Jews should be better. I was always taught to remember our history, to remember the thousands of years of persecution we faced so that together, we can ensure it never happens again. To anyone. To Jews who disagree, You are wrong. You make me sad. You fill me with shame. Zionism will forever be an indelible mark on the history of the Jewish people. I only hope there will come a time when I can proudly proclaim my Judaism.
