Let me just be clear on the MLI Zionist buddy-up scandal: it is utterly outrageous that we allow self-serving Muslims to disenfranchise the Palestinians from what they want and insist upon i.e. to revoke all association with Israeli organisations and push the BDS movement. Clearly, it isnt just the French who are full of hypocrisy and double standards. Alhamdulillah the continuing efforts (and they must continue!) of a number of Muslim academics, activists and writers such as Ali Abunimah, Sana Saeed, Dr Hatem Bazian, Dr Lawrence Brown and many others is to be applauded and supported jazahumullahu khayra as they bring back the Muslim community focused on where it should be: pro the boycotting, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel, and to stop so called MLI Muslim leaders who have proved to be little more than an unapologetic group of self-interested charlatans and establishment lackeys (with the odd ignorant naive miskeen who just wanted a free holiday) from undermining the Palestinian effort through embarrassingly and damagingly playing into an Israeli agenda and then still trying to defend themselves. We must never allow the Zionists to dictate the narrative of Muslim leaders - real or perceived. When they do, the Israelis get away with the shocking and farcical appearance of war-criminal Netanyahu fronting at a peace march in Paris with the rest of the leaders of the Free World. Incredible.
