Let me just say this about that -- Louisville may pride itself on being a foodie town, but that pride is woefully misplaced. Basically, and with just a couple of exceptions, the restaurants here pretty much suck. So how this town can possibly lay a legitimate claim to being a foodie city is beyond me. Obviously, coming as I do from New York and Seattle Im going to have a fairly high bar set as far as expectations go, given the exceptional quality and number of restaurants in both those cities. My father just loves to prattle endlessly on about how Louisville is a foodie town and, as he says, although it may not have any really GREAT restaurants, it has a huge number of very good ones. I beg to differ. It has a few just good ones -- and the rest are just plain bad. That is all.
