Let me make no apologies for the following post - and this being a public forum I respect everyone who reads this has a right to comment either way; Our nations big decision is just round the corner and I would like to clarify a couple of points to my friends and anyone else reading and interested. Most who know me will know I always try to apply the positives of life and have great difficulty in dealing with people who like to influence by creating fear in peoples minds - fear is the biggest deterrent to success... FACT - Scotland is already an independent nation, always has been and always ( hopefully) will be. FACT - we entered into a union with our neighbours a couple of hundred years ago (people enter unions every day, some last a long time and some run their natural course for whatever reason, my own go at union like many others didnt last as long as planned!!). In many many peoples eyes due to the imbalance of the union we would like to go back to the previous position where we looked after our own affairs, it happens every day. How many reading this who have experienced separation or divorce even when that decision has been difficult has not gone on to thrive in the long term, whether for better or worse financially - who ever made their main consideration for ending a union financial? When its done most of us would walk away without a penny in our pockets knowing there was something better to be had - yet never starved.. As a nation we will be no different if we make the leap of faith that something better is out there for us, it will be better, experience tells us that in almost every circumstance. FACT - the £.... This is as much Scotlands currency as it is the UK rump. We took it into the union and we have an absolute right to retain it at the dissolution of the union - along with everything else we entered with including a share of anything we have amassed during the union ( and this includes any debt accrued of which there is plenty). My friends, please think long and hard about your decision, one way or other we will be making a choice for others to come after us as well as ourselves...... So finally - I encourage all to grasp the stingy nettles and vote for YES come September...
