Let me preface this statement by saying that I did not watch - TopicsExpress

Let me preface this statement by saying that I did not watch Sorority Sisters but I have heard that it is stereotypical drivel. Furthermore, I go on record as stating that I understand the displeasure of the masses, but only to a certain degree. However, the time has come to answer some difficult questions. Where is the outrage when Love & Hip Hop presents African-Americans in an unbecoming light? Where is the outrage when Tyler Perry depicts African-Americans as cartoonish caricatures? Where is the outrage when someones child is beaten, bloodied or worse to prove (s)he is Real as opposed to Paper to enter our organizations? Better still, where is the outrage when our same organizations pay out countless dollars in legal settlements each year for hazing? Where is the outrage when voters are disenfranchised and their rights eroded? Where is the outrage when someones child is gunned down in cold blood without any justifiable explanation? There are a lot of things that Greeks do in and of ourselves to defame, devalue and ignore the aims, ideals & organizations that we purport to represent. I assure you there was more than enough damage control for Greeks to undertake without worrying about a television show. So if you choose to be outraged, may I suggest you be outraged about something that matters...if not, continue to turn up and enjoy your Stevie J, Tyler Perry, your disappearing rights & wages and increasing expenses. Now, isnt that a Grand Old Party??? Someone somewhere will catch that. Lol
