Let me say, for starters, I find anything that Oprah Winfrey is - TopicsExpress

Let me say, for starters, I find anything that Oprah Winfrey is endorsing a red flag! No offence to her but I think it’s interesting when I hear her give any support to anything having to do with the Gospel of Jesus. If you watch her behavior around Christians and the opposition she normally takes, you will see that she does not believe what the Bible says and that she is only in support of something if it has a new age feel and/or has Hollywood approval. If you look at the attitude she has toward Christianity and the true message shes either passive or very opposed to it and antagonistic to its followers. Yeah I know Oprah, great woman empowering equal rights advocate, black and rich self made respectable voice for good people, and the woman who thinks that everyone has their own path to heaven and there is no Hell. I have nothing personal against her and she is mostly all those things except a person that is truly supportive of the truth and message of the Gospel of Jesus. JAMES 4:4 This is a powerful reference point for which I speak on. If you are a Christian and have thought about going to see the new movie Son of God, you should read up and do a little more research before you go see it. I say this because the makers of this movie and the content and context of the material in this movie are very questionable, at least from a Christian point of view! Serious, before going out and supporting and seeing it you should really consider reading up on it. My wife Gina had asked me if I would take her to see the new movie Son of God... so I said ok. Just after that she remembered that the makers and producers of this movie are Roma Downey and her husband Mark Burnett and decided to research it. No offence to them but I find a problem with people when they tend to twist and modify meanings or messages in the Bible REVELATION 22:18-19. There are several ministers and churches that are supporting this movie, which is understandable because most churches want to see the Gospel spread everywhere; but there are several leaders who are desperate to please both sides. I think that there is much compromise in the Church. I have stated before what the scripture says for the cost of doing so. Ask yourself if you are reaching for something you can identify with nonbelievers or people who mock and scoff at anything that has to do with Christ. Do you want to go for something that will make you feel good? Do you need something in Hollywood to justify your faith and all that you have been persecuted by or made fun of for? Notice the difference between the attitudes directed for this film and Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ, there is a huge difference... The passion was widely criticized, mocked, scoffed at and not accepted by the mainstream Hollywood or the media and this movie is accepted and promoted by all forms of entertainment. Well if what you want is to fit in and be accepted by the world, to be patronized and included in a phony watered down spiritually deceptive and trampled version of god, then you may want to go see it still. However, if you know God and believe in Jesus Christ, you may think twice of supporting things that make a mockery of Him. I think this link here gives good insight to the agenda and truth about the film! It is a shame to know that so many will go and be deceived, either feeling cheated, or buying into Hollywoods twisted and world glorifying version of their Jesus. One way or another, I would say if you honored Jesus Christ then you probably wont want to watch it. Here is a link so you can see what some of the material in the film really is.
