Let me see how I will title this rant.....I HATE RECEPTIONISTS. I love love love my Dr. but the policy before I even get to see her is so irritating and almost made Shuckaqwanda come out at 10 in the morning- She usually only appears when I need to get folks to understand that they need to stop playing with me- But anyway so here goes...I call for an appt. Im asked if Ive been there before, purpose for visit, birth date, and insurance info...so they can verify all this right cuz its in the computer right, yep? OK great! Get there I have to fill out this form w/ the exact same info.. Im already not feeling well then you ask me if I have insurance. In my mind...heifer didnt I just tell someone this on the phone and they verified it cuz they gave me a appt and wait youre not even making eye contact with me YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE COMPUTER SCREEN LADY..is it there? Is it there?.... so instead I reply yes with the card in my hand... Then you say do u know u have a $15 copay, I hand her a 20. She gives it back and says bring it back when u complete the form.. awww dam..Shucka, thats her nick name, is itching to come out...wait Im a regular patient you take my history...Not current state of being... every time I come... OK Elisa breathe...I go back and she says can u verify ur address?....I coughingly...yes thats an adjective today...tell her every line even the dam zipcode and my phone # which I happily scribbled on the paper... Then here comes the highlight of my time at the window... This disgusting son of a pea picker asked me for my license....What the hunkydory....omg...catch fire wench!!! I began to breathe real deep, Shuck was about to release herself.. Then all that came out were coughs.... The RECEPTIONIST looks at me like Im about to die... Yeah I am !!! Should have coughed directly in that window but my mother taught me better..hmmmm!!! So I decided to sit my sick butt down and inhale on my pump!!! Now Ive had plenty time to think, ponder, revise, and edit this post cuz my appt was for 10 and its now 1058 and my doctor still hasnt come in to see me... But wait.. I forgot to mention the nurse who so pleasantly took my pressure which was quite high...I wonder why... said my Dr. isnt in today. Ill see... Dr. Someone?!?! Oh HELL TO THE NO ...Shucka said she is going to cause some havoc on the way out !!!!! I sure hope I can have wine with my meds..uuggghh
