Let us pray Most Wise God, help us to live in Your joy and peace. Give us strength and understanding to resist anxiety, anger, envy, depression, bitterness, hopelessness, loneliness, fear and guilt. Rescue each of us when “our spirits are overwhelmed within us; our hearts within us are distressed” (Psalm 143:4). In the name of Jesus, we refuse to let our lives be brought down by negative emotions such as these. When we are tempted to give in to them, show us Your Truth. You have said in Your Word that by our patience we can possess our souls(Luke 21:19) Give us patience so we can do that. Help each of us to keep our ‘hearts with all diligence,” for we know that “out of it spring the issues of life: (Proverbs 4:23). This we ask in the precious and powerful name of Jesus the Christ. Amen, Amen and Amen.
