Let us respond to the fan favorite question, Whats up with the band name? First, unlike in our youth when there was only one generation of rockers, we currently have 5 generations out there gigging thus making band name selection more problematic. We used all sorts of name generators and we were set on Warts and All. However, no band member wanted to be Wart. Gray Matters Band appeals to our aging demographic. It also provides an easy excuse for us forgetting lyrics and playing guitar solos a 1/2 step off (known as Jazz). The name is our anthem, we are Gray and we Matter. But, here is the truth. All four us decided to skip a rehearsal and go to the open auditions for the re-casting of Christian Grey. Although only our drummer made call backs, we connected the experience with our band name.
