#LetMeJustSay #OnMySoapBox Let me start off by saying . . . I am a fan of Paula Deen and she is a grand example of a southern belle making it to the top with honesty, hard work, and dedication. She did not wait for something to be handed to her, she took her talents and made something of herself. I hope whoever blew this out of proportion gets a huge lawsuit smacked to their tail and they leave crouching with their tail tucked between their legs. Racism is only an issue if you make it an issue. Yes, I do agree there are people out in this world with no couth but this antebellum era lady filled with Southern charm is far from what she is being made out to be. I just do not understand how one word can bring up this much commotion. One question for the side bashing Paula . . . why is it okay for someone such as Kanye West to say this word every few minutes or Katt Williams (now I love me some K.Williams) to announce it publicly during a performance, but Mrs. Conductor of the Butter Train is completely bashed for it? She was not saying these terms in a derogatory way in any way whatsoever. She was simply being asked questions and she was giving completely honest answers. I have experienced myself the dagger at heart when words cut one to the core, but at the same time, I know who I am and I continue on because you must "lift your head up princess, if not the crown may fall".
