Lets Come Together Ecc 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. God has called us into a local body. We are special and chosen by God for this time and the place we are. We have specific gifts and talents assigned by God to help us accomplish His purpose for this community. He has brought us together from many places and peoples and set us here as He has chosen. God has been working to instruct and mature us and remind us of who we are in Christ, We have begun a good work. But, there is a devilish and insipid plan afoot to thwart and destroy God’s plan for us. I have watched over the last few months and years as satan has divided our attentions and efforts into singular ministry and often lethargic lifestyles. This is stifling the church and has promoted the growth of a sort of spiritual cocoon around us. Today, with the help of God, I would like to remind the church why we are here and what we are being called to do. Even though individual ministry is important, God has brought us together for real purpose. He has chosen the body to do his most effective and powerful work. We need each other.
