Lets THINK about it: 1) Stop fussing about a write-in campaign being undertaken in this county....it is as American as Apple Pie and might get more folks out to vote!!! The 2014 election is not over until the fat lady sings... 2) We need to look close at Beach Permit concept and get the facts: 1) How much revenue is being created , 2) Who is purchasing beach permits, 3) Can we have a system where in county residents can purchase a greatly reduced cost ($5 or under) permit and non county residents carry the cost burden and 4) slow down Nelly and lets look at the facts!!!! 3) Homeless Shelter.....non issue....DO THE RIGHT THING...no excuse why not to move on with this.....we have a responsibility to help those in need!!!! 4) YMCA....Yes we need a YMCA!....if there are $$$ issues lets work them out with Y, local government and the private sector solving the problem. Ask anyone 40 or under in this county about the need for a YMCA and they say YES. 5) Why are we not talking education....50% of county budget, Where is the Career Tech Center????, Where are the turf fields???? Why do we have lowest per pupil spending in the state????? Why do we spend $1,800 per BOE meeting to have a lawyer from out of county attend meetings??? Our teachers are great, our schools are great, lets keep it that way!!!! 6) Give the current Commissioners a break.....the voters have spoken, decisions still have to be made, we need to all work together for the next four months to keep the county on the correct course and I dont like this shadow government which is telling the public what they will do in December, via social media, on different issues. Wait your turn and support those currently in office.... 7) Lets stop bashing elected officials if they change their mind on an issue(s)....facts change, situations change, personalities change and any smart person will change their opinion on an issue if the facts add up....we dont want elected officials who are afraid to admit they are wrong and are unwilling to change a vote or stance on an issue. 8) 89 days until the General election and we have a lot of bridges to cross
