Lets assume that every bad thing that the government has said about Bundy is true. Then Bundys actions would constitute a civil trespass. It is NOT a criminal trespass. He could have the privilege to use the land, IF he paid an exorbitant fee. His trespass is not an invasion of privacy or property right, but his failure to pay a fee. Now, how does the government make the leap from a civil trespass to enforcing that civil trespass with 200 armed thugs, including snipers? Can you imagine the public outcry if a cop even drew his sidearm while enforcing a misdemeanor trespass? Can you spell Excessive force, boys and girls?
