Lets connect with people, by being real. We all struggle, we all hurt, we all can be selfish, self-centered, self absorbing and even downright mean. Bitterness can set in, depression take its toll and relationships fail all because we hide behind the masks that we wear. We are not perfect people, we are not people that have it all together. It is in our brokenness and sin, that Christ draws us together by sending those willing to come along the broken with words of encouragement. And it is in that brokenness that we truly draw near to God. As we gather today, lets be honest with ourselves and others. If we are hurting, tell someone, ask for prayer and be true. God doesnt expect us to be perfect, just real.
