Lets go for medical tests, Lungu challenges Sylvia Masebo PF Presidential candidate has thrown a challenge to Chongwe Member of Parliament, Sylvia Masebo for the two to go for medical tests immediately. In a direct retaliation to Masebo, who this week said that voting Lungu would entail a by-election, Lungu said he was more fitter and much healthier than the Chongwe Parliamentarian. Lungu has thrown a medical test challenge to Masebo, “I challenge her, for the two of us to go for a medical test and lets compare the results. I forgive her but I ask her that we go for a medical test.” The PF Presidential candidate, Hon. Edgar has told the Mpika voters that his government will complete all projects that are underway or have been earmarked by the PF Government as his government will pay special attention to education and the teachers. Speaking to a thunderous crowd in Mpika at a rally presently underway, Lungu has assured the Muchinga voters that in three years of President Sata’s reign, he had achieved what others hardly attained in 27 years or 20years of their time in government. “We need to continue on that ambitious program. We are supporting the education sector and we are supporting all sectors that are important to the economic well being of Zambia,” appealing to the voters, “Please vote for me. I am glad for the massive support at this rally.” Lungu, in his usual peace-making strides and reaching out to the truant lost, extended an olive branch to Chongwe MP, Sylvia Masebo, “I forgive Sylvia Masebo. She has insulted our late President Sata. But Sata made her Minister,” he said. Mpika began preparing for the arrival of PF President Edgar Lungu earlier in the day, bringing much of traffic to a halt in Mpika. Upon arrival, President Lungu visited Chief Chikwanda who took time to bless him. The Chief requested Lungu honour President Sata and the PF by wishing him well to win the election. Earlier in the day, Lungu took time to condemn the recent acts of violence in Shiwangandu area of Chinsali. Speaking in Mpika when he met the traditional Chiefs at Icengelo Guest House, Hon. Lungu fervently called for peaceful campaigns and peaceful elections. Its a multiparty democracy, we have various candidates with various views. The choice our people make should always be respected. And that choice or support from our people should not be coerced or forced,” he said. President Lungu promised to follow up, We will investigate the Shiwangandu violence. Any cadres or official involved will be dealt with. He said President Sata always urged supporters to act with a lot of restraint even under extreme provocation. President Sata came from Mpika where we are today and he promoted peace. Even when elections where robbed or stolen from him, he refused to shed blood or maim or cause any injury. I will follow the peaceful footsteps of President Sata. I am proud to belong to PF, its a peaceful party and its a national party in character and in practice, he assured the Chiefs.
