Lets ignore the rubbish about the divine in the video (i prefer the agnostic or — better still — ignostic viewpoint) and, besides, math is full of numbers that might seem significant for one or another reason (prime numbers, Carmichael numbers, cyclic numbers, Ulam spiral to name a few... or for that matter a bit less serious Strong Law of Small Numbers). Number 9 emerges from a circle perhaps in the same way the Mandelbrot set emerges from c² + c — its just built into the system. but its that kind of matethematical emergence that drove the fascination with geometry of Pythagoras, Euclid and pretty much everyone else thereafter. Our brains must be somehow hardwired to look for patterns and — one must admit — they really do range from fascinating to amazing.
