Lets look a couple of ideas to train the Crotch Arch within a static posture. (note this is one of a myriad of options.) Fig.1) Passive (sinking/Yin) - Here the weight of the body rests on the Arch. Aside from maintaining the arch there is no active engagement of the tissue. Fig.2) Active (raising/Yang) - Here we actively pull the feet towards each other on the floor slightly without the frame moving. You should immediately feel the inner lines of the legs engage and an upward direction form. Fig.3) Cyclic - For interest this image shows in a very basic way how our crotch arch, axis and Side lines work together to create equilibrium, even in an active structure. If someone were to watch you perform these ideas you would not even move and inch but the effort and engagement changes from one to the other and is real and noticeable to the practitioner.
