Lets not put our childrens education on the back burner. Stand for something or fall for anything. I wish everyone one could have stayed the duration of the meeting. There is more at stake than just the structural funding. Im appalled at three board members voting against a resolution to protect 10million dollars of public school. Secondly, after researching he tried to bamboozle us and summarize it as a low wealth fund. After much research, that is not the case. He also proposed an argument at JK in regards to the miney. The money is not and not a school board issue,but yet in agreee with allowing 10 million of public education dollars go into private school entities. Ive read next year it can up to nearly 50 million, thatvwould be 50million less dollars allocated to public education. The bible speaks of what happens to us when we lack knowledge. Lets educate ourselves, not just believe or listen to whats presented to us, if we are to heed this warning over our cardinal minds and body. Acknowledge the key to wisdom, and its importance in the word. I know exactly what I want and that would be a new James Kenan and new Charity Middle School. Im very careful these days who I follow and who leads me, because positio, nor title qualifies many that are set up or wear leadership hats. The endorsement of God is everything and it shows through. If the bibles endorses the desires of your heart, thus if its what you want YOU CAN HAVE IT! Serving a unlimited God gives,us all the key to the best and bragging rights to go with. Ask questions if you have uncertainties, for all must be informed and make knowledge based decision. I am greatful that many stood in the gap for me, they never enjoyed or where afforded the quality of education and pursuit of happiness, I am a part of the dream thus Im delegated and set up to be a Dream Keeper. So we all must be mindful how we use our roles and how we present what we express or even to be sure what we say. If you have no positiot or a simply sitting duck know you are not in the fight but your simply sitting duck. Everyone has the right to expression and their own way of presentation, back it witb thruth and substance, a call or cause, but most importantly stand boldly before opposition with a position. Again I say stand for something or fall for anything! In summative, God allows us Options and they are unlimited because thats how his resources flow! Choices are what we were presented by those ELECTED officials we have chosen to represent us. The fact of the matter is that the choices should reflect and represent what we the people who have elected each of them want and their is a difference. So lets make educated sound decisions about what we really want. You know what you want and thats whats best for all children in this county. The middle school concept has worked for us, so now simply throw it out for the face of things, or the asthetics. We have a chance to build up the southern end of the county lets do it. Ask the questions, in 1993 while many of us stiil attended school in these districts 53 million dollars was spent in Duplin County School, how much of the funding went to the Wallace Rose Hill and James Kenan District. The educational lottery money, how much of it went to the Wallace Rose Hill and James Kenan district? This goes to show what happens today effects tomorrow. Just as funding in the early 90s and how the money was dispersed is now effecting my very own children. So FORWARD FOREVER WITHOUT TAKING ONE STEP BACK! Quality facilities on every level throughout the entire county, our greatest educational competition lies outside of the county lines, where brown nosing and local politics cant advance an agenda nor secure positions. LETS prepare our students for the real world,its bigger than the county walls, its a life readiness we must embrace! So stand state your position, send your emails, and know you have options, and will not simply be made to fold and choose. We are well beyond separate but equal, let the essence of quality and non-substandard facilties ring from the mountain top! New Charity Middle School and New James Kenan. Speak what you want, we can speak over our school system too! SPEAK it into exsistence, education can help align you for the things you shall want and need down the road. We built a new jail facility and an unused event center with ease,but gotta fight for new schools, so 60ish. Yet in two districts that generate a substantial amount of taxable revenue. Perplexing! Im just saying, this is just weighing heavily on my heart. What better cause to raise taxes than for education! I sense a strong brewing of a tea party in the midst of educational decision making process here in our county. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.
