Lets reintroduce a concept into American debate: opinion. As in, having one does not make you evil. So: you are pro-life or pro-choice - OK, doesnt make you evil. So: you like guns - OK doesnt make you evil. Global Warming (whichever way you hold it) doesnt make you stupid, ignorant, a denier, a dupe or evil. You can have opinions...makes you a stand-up individual, actually...but be able to defend and be challenged on those opinions...be able to possible admit you are wrong.... In fact the thing that makes you evil is the belief that your opinion is the only right, sure, good and noble thing and the belief that anyone even questioning you is evil and worthy of attack. Opinion: a well-thought out position on a variable issue that you can defend intellectually and could change if enough evidence appears. Evil: you are right and anyone disagreeing with you should be shut up and shut down in any manner possible. Got it?
