Lets see if I can jump on a very real note here... I will be the first one to promote chasing your dreams and accomplishing your financial goals. The thought of wealth can be truly mesmerizing. Our generation is infatuated with the lives of the rich and the famous... We want it for ourselves, we believe we can have it. Some sit around and wait for the world to be given to them, but others wake up every single morning on the hunt for the next dollar. I do believe the latter is the mindset required to be financially successful... but this mindset is a double-edged sword, and that is the meaning of this post. We work, then work, then work some more. I am guilty of it. Never looking up to see whats around us because we are so determined to achieve the ultimate goal of financial wealth. In this time, we lose touch with family, distance ourselves from friends, and cant handle relationships because of the time investment and emotional burden. If you wake up one day and realize that you made it... that you reached the level of wealth you always wanted, you earned the respect you always desired, that the dream you were chasing is now a reality, but then you look around and realize you have no one to share it with... Is it truly a dream? Keep your ambitions high, your head in the clouds, and your work ethic strong, but make sure you have people to share your accomplishments with when you reach the top of that mountain. This is not me teaching, this is me sharing what I am beginning to learn.
