Lets talk ear-worms. No, not some horrific parasite, but those tunes that have lodged themselves in your brain at some point in the past and then re-appear unannounced to torment you. Specifically, were talking about those random songs that pop up on your internal stereo when youre trudging over hill, moor and mountain; those melodies that might offer a much needed boost to morale or, more probably, simply drive you nuts. On my last trip, it was the theme tune to ‘Blackadder Goes Forth’ that very nearly sent me over the edge. In the past Paul McCartney & The Frog Chorus have managed the same. What tortuous tunes have you had testing your sanity on the hill?
