Lets thank God for the blessing that is living in democracy. Thank Him that New Zealand will have an election this weekend and pray for godly people to become powerful in that nation whose influence on world culture is vastly out of proportion to its size. Thank Him that Fiji is having its first election since the military coup several years ago and pray for stability and peace. As Presbyterians we remember with gratitude and humility our Scottish heritage. Thank our all-gracious Abba Father that the question of Scottish independence can be settled with a ballot where it would have once been settled by force of arms. Lets pray that the large undecided vote (still as much as 10% according to some polls) make wise decisions and that all of the Scottish people, as well as Whitehall, can commit to the outcome. Let us also pray that many nations who currently live in bondage will also come to enjoy the freedom we know. Finally, lets pray that we never take these freedoms for granted or abuse or privileges.
