Letter to Ebenezer Alabi......by Michael Adeboboye I am not used to always commenting or talk about many political development in particularly that of Ondo State. But the present scenario the Governor of Ondo State is flying compels my honest reaction. Mr. Chairman, I have to personally salute your courage and leadership style ever since you became the chairman of the great party, PDP. Especially your firm stance in this time when Gov. Olusegun Mimiko is hell bent in destroying the PDP in Ondo State. The electorates were banking on the PDP as a platform to respond to Mimikos deceit and corrupt government which has held us down in typhoon of penury. But here we are today, the man who people wanted the PDP as their weapon to fight is here to lead the partys army. This development has further aggravated the anger of the electorates and presently, the state of confusion they are is indescribable. But then, political party door is wide open to whoever that is coming in and therefore, Mimiko cannot be rejected. Ordinarily, Ondo PDP does not need Mimiko to win the next elections in 2015. The Ondo born tortoise wanted to use the PDP platform to save his own ass and that is transparently clear to the electorates. Let me save us the rigmarole of the undignified Mimikos defection in Abuja and the crises that erupted aftermath. The latest development over the sharing of elective posts which in the resultant effect trying to slaughter the ambition of the partys finest aspirants by Mimiko is very upsetting, annoying and unacceptable to the electorates, particularly in Akure where popular and loyal candidate like Hon. Adedayo Omolafe is being tried to be schemed out by Mimiko. The position of the electorate who we are very close to and hear what they say is that Omolafe, popularly known as Expensive is their only choice for Akure North/South Federal Constituency come 2015. For what reason and unholy callous arrangement would this man of the people and PDP builder in Akure be sacrificed for a man who dumped his own party and wanted to save his ass by joining the PDP? If the party leaders are seen this Mimikos arrangement as a truce, I want to honestly tell you that the electorates who love him so much sees that as insane, callous and unacceptable. Any political party that wants to win election come 2015 should present acceptable candidates for the election. If PDP gives the Akure federal constituency slot to anyone else apart from Expensive, the party will loose and that will be the same result from other constituencies both federal and state. With the recent development, how is Mimikos defection adding value to Ondo PDP? Or the question may be asked: is Mimiko going to write the results of the election for INEC to pronounce or the election victory is going to be determined by the electorates? Its time to see clearly what Mimiko meant by his defection to PDP. Michael Adeboboye
