Letter to poverty I closed my eyes and dream of a life without poverty Then picture the life where everyone has His own property What choice do we ve but to wish for a better life The struggle bringing me down, I replied with unending strife Whatever will be the fate of those children in the street, poverty ure the cause I wish you can listen to the cry of the widows and show some remorse Should God say change one thing you wish poverty you re first in the line I wish I can make it happen, i wish the choice is all mine You are the reason why tears roll down our eyes Looking through the window, wishing it falls manna from the skies In many homes you, you are an unwanted guest Why cant you leave so we too can live to our very best I peruse My course, I can find a solution I peruse the scriptures, and heres the solution Show me the signs of the last days, tell me if poverty is one of them Sometimes I wonder will you take me down to my grave Will i crumble at last and watch you blow me away like the wave My hands on my chest, my feet on the ground, my shoulders weighed up high cause am ready to fight Maybe I wasnt cut out to win, but I know I can make it right I will fight to see those children smile Will fight for the widows to laugh In the end I will be free Yes, we will be free Free from poverty at last!!!
