Let’s see, in the past month: Zimmerman Verdict Repeal of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 Cuts to the Farm Bill (Food Stamps) Closing of inner city schools Stricter student loan criteria to go along with higher interest rates Eroding the protection of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, that protects black people from discrimination & promotes ‘affirmative action.’ So in essence, we’re going back to the days of ‘Black Codes’ & Jim Crow…& UOENO It’s time for construction, not destruction... It’s time for Revolution, not rioting... We can’t depend on no politician, for they have their own agenda which is to get their pockets fat. Black men must take back our families, homes, neighborhoods, & schools. Crying to the white man is not gonna help. They no longer feel guilty(no pun). We must resist all ignoble impulses, & carry ourselves in a dignified & just manner at ALL times. This late brother can be the catalyst toward a renaissance in the black community. “a child shall lead them” - Isaiah 11:6
