Liam got an echo today and some labs (labs werent too fun as usual). The echo looks good! Doctor says his function is practically normal. After a heart attack, that is GREAT NEWS!! I also just received a message from his cardiac nurse about his labs. She said his inflammation markers are NORMAL (so KD inflammation is finally gone). His Troponin levels (tells of damage after having a heart attack) are now officially NORMAL!! Last visit it still hadnt quite officially made it. That means that, after a heart attack, Liams levels are all officially normal! The objective now is to continue blood thinners and treatment so that blood does not pool in his aneurysms. This is ongoing and will likely be part of his life from here on out. Now, as the doctor explained, we wait for his heart to remodel, which means we want to see how his coronaries learn to cope with the aneurysms and if the blood will continue to flow through them properly. There are so many factors at play when it comes to surgeries later on and such, but for now he looks fantastic and I want to thank YOU for all of your prayers for our little boy! They really are worth so much to us.
