Libby Davies, (My MP for East Vancouver, can you mention this in the house please, and is there anything the Federal NDP can do about this?) Lisa Mamakind Kirkman has been on hunger strike to be allowed to follow her Doctors advice and enter hospital with her legally allowed medical cannabis (yes, that issue again, sorry). The hospital claims #AlbertaHealthServices wrote a memo denying her entry until they can safely handle her [non dangerous] cannabis vapour. It started with denying her entry because her vaporizer wasnt inspected, and merely morphed into the current idiocy when they were shown its approvals. She has been man-handled by security, has had her specialists appointments cancelled out from under her (because they all have offices in hospitals and know she isnt allowed to go on the premises). She has been inside ambulances that have been turned away from emergency rooms, because she is inside said ambulance with her medicine. Her medical issues mean that she cant take pills OR use other forms of cannabis, she needs to either smoke or vaporize, and if she were to smoke shed be smoking basically all the time which is not the best for anyone. Needless to say that for this to happen in Canada to anyone is beyond disgusting. This shit needs to be fixed now.
