Life Corporation at most is just providing funeral bereavement services. It cannot be in any way related to religion, particularly Buddhism. From their website, they only focus on their businesses and only brief description of the product and services. Looks more like those $1 company with hollow shell, imo. There is no mention of expertise and affiliation with Buddhist associations. How can they operate a chinese temple or Buddhist temple? What did they submit for the proposal in the tender bid? Surely there must be some floor plans and the type of services they will provide. If URA/ HDB cannot even be sure what they provide, how can they award the $5 million project to such a company? Its not wrong to collect more money but how does the govt ensure they do not abuse the land for other purpose / usage and how it will affect the residents? This is the responsibility of the govt authorities and the elected MP.
