Life Of Umar Al khattab (R.A) - Part 6- Even after believing that there was some truth in the verses recited by prophet Muhammad (pbuh) Umar (R.A) however dismissed these feelings and soon he was his former self hostile to Islam . He went to Quraish and participated in their counsels. The felt concerned that the venom of new faith was spreading and the only remedy was that Muhammad (pbuh) should be killed . All present at the meeting agreed to it . Then they invited volunteers who would kill Prophet (pbuh) . Umar (R.a) volunteered himself and vindicated the religion of forefathers. On the same day Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) made Dua from Allah subhano Talaa : O Allah , strengthen Islam either with Umar Al Khattab (R.A) Or Amr Bin Hisham ( Abu Jahl) Whomsoever Thou pleased . Next day it was hot sultry weather outside in the year 616 (A.D) , Umar buckled his sword and set out to kill Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) In the way Umar (R.A) met Nuaim bin Abdullah He was a friend of Umar (R.A) . He had converted to Islam , but Umar (R.A) didnt know abt it . Notching dark frown on his face Nuaim bin Abdullah asked Umar (R.A) What he was up to ? Umar (R.A) said : Im going to slay Muhammad (pbuh) . Nuaim said : Beware ! If you harm Muhammad (pbuh) you will not be safe from the fury of Banu Hashim . Desist such a course in your own interest . Umar (R.A) ejaculated angrily : It appears you have also became Muslim . Nuaim said : Do not bother about me , but take care of your Sister and Brother in law , who have been converted to Islam .
