Life always pits us against the odds, wouldn’t you agree? Sometimes we slip away, sometimes we fight back. But, life does test us…and life is not fair to everyone. Some of us enjoy it all, whilst some endure hardships. From my air-conditioned room, I gaze at the photo of this boy enduring hardship, standing in the snow by the side of a track, trying to sell something and struggling to exist. Life is not fair, is it? When you see this photo, does it sadden you that this boy is trying to survive through fighting his way out, even though life is pushing him through the hardest of odds? But, doesn’t it also give you hope and makes you believe that even when man faces misfortune, his spirit always triumphs over the odds? The spirit of humans is tremendous; this is how they march over the most difficult of moments. lightandcomposition/against-the-odds/
