Life as an “artiste” (right out if the gate, please try and appreciate the irony indicated by the use of artiste as opposed to artist) is so funny. If you haven’t hit the requisite level of maturity that is expected by a certain age you can definitely be in the shit in any area of life, in any profession, regardless of your level of success. However as an artiste there will always be a lot of inevitable drama that might be entertaining in a grueling, immediate sort of way to you but to no one else. The best case fantasy scenario as a musician is that you become a platinum selling artiste and the masses gorge on your psychodrama. That is a one in a million shot. Someone like me just churns out shit and doesn’t care. I really used to go nuts about this trip but I really can say now that I don’t care. I would love it if some people like the stuff but it’s a different type of thing. That being said, I hope that at least one specific person understands that this tune is for them. For better or worse. It is for them.
