Life beyond Ganga aarti is to clean the river Organisations even institutions have a life cycle and with time they must either wither away creating space for the new or transform to become new. This is the law of nature. We must view the current state of affairs of the Congress party in that context. Maybe this is a fantastic opportunity to start on a clean slate or simply fade away. Whatever be it, the old ways wont work any longer. The new party on the threshold of forming a government must learn its lessons from the vanquished and look back at its history when it was given the responsibility to lead the nation and had missed the opportunities. It can spend millions on building statues or on creating the foundation of a new India. The task beyond the Ganga aarti is to clean the river. From next week Mr Narendra Modi will be our Prime Minister and cease being a BJP nominee fighting for votes. We expect him to emerge as a statesman at home and abroad and not merely a boss of a council of ministers. All the Best.
