Life can be uncertain. It is filled with many jabs and stabs as my friend, Bonnie Wooten,says. It can throw us into a whirlwind filled with doubt, disbelief, and fear. We wrestle with asking God, Why me? and we struggle to keep it together. He replies, Why not you? As he reminds us to lean on Him to be strengthened. We know in our heart God has a plan, but we dont understand it. How could we? It doesnt make any sense. We wonder how he can work this situation out for the good. There are days when we wince and wonder. Days when we suffer, worry, and weep. Then, we realize God doesnt always make sense---he makes miracles. In place of anxiety, he gives us peace. In place of worry, he gives us hope. In place of fear, we become fearless. A surrendered life is not a perfect life. Surrender whatever is pulling you under. Surrender the illness, the marriage, the child, the job. Give them to Jesus so he can heal the hurts and repair what is broken. One thing is for certain---in uncertain days, Jesus will never leave you. Dont confuse the middle chapters for the end of the story!
