Life can be very challenging. Yet, instead of complaining, there are a lot of things that I should be grateful for. After the ordeal in the hospital... First, I want to thank God. People may be surprised if they find me religious. Yes! I am religious! That means my relationship with my God and my faith in HIM is strong, regardless of what priests and other religious fanatics say. God only gave us 2 great commandments: love HIM above all and love our neighbours as we love ourselves. I believe that I am doing both. So, I want to thank God for every adversity that HE challenged me to face, I become stronger; and most of all , for letting me survive tonight. Second, I want to thank my doctor. Although it was a tough charade game with the attending physician (his english skills are limited to medical vocabulary), he went beyond his way to understand me and help me. Doctor: stress, insomniac, beri beri hot sun equals you blood high. Tomorrow, no out, sleep, rest forever. Ok?! Unsa?!?!?!?! Sleep, rest forever?!?!?!? Hahahahhahaahahah!!! Kaliki!!! Doc!!! Ayaw sad intawn uy! Lain kaayo ka doc nanunglo na ka. Me: Rest forever?!?! No! Please not forever! Doctor: ha? Sori sori! rest long long la? Aw! Kana ba!!! Kuyawan sad ta atong una uy! Bahala og unsaon pagsabot ninyo ang long long la, basta dili lang sad forever. Hahahahahhaha!!! Third, I want to thank Mahidol University and the Golden Jubilee Medical centre. I really thought that my hypertension will worsen as soon as I get to see the bill. Apparently, Mahidol University, being the premier medical school in Thailand, operates 6 major hospitals. Cashier: you! Study! Mahidol na!!!! Galit?!?!?! May pinanghuhugutan te?!?!?! Hahahaha! Isog kaayo maka storya si ate... Me: yes Cashier: What study?!?!?!?! Te, feeling gyud nako kaka break up mo sa imong uyab! Maldita kaayo imo approach. I told myself, if I am nice, maldita siya...magminaldita kaha ko. Pero ayaw lang kay basin mahalon unya ang total bill. Lol! Ahahahhaahah!!! Me: master degree in human rights Cashier: aaaahhhh...ok ok na! Study mahidol free free... Hehehehe! You study human right na... Ok hahaha! Aw kana ba! Pag sure ha?!?! Hahahaha!! And lastly, I want to thank my attending nurse. When I saw her, I recognised her straight away. I told myself, wow!!! Lagare si ate!!! Working as a university nurse sa clinic inig buntag, and working as hospital nurse inig kagabii. Bilib ko ni ate nurse. When she saw me, she recognised me too. She is a good friend. She approached me... Nurse: my flend! What happened?!?! You sick?! Me: yes. Hypertension... Nurse: hypertension? You young! Just exercise! Me: yeah! True! Thanks a lot... Then, after taking my bp... Nurse: Blood now ok na! 130/70. Now, normal na. What exercise you do? Me: no exercise. Very busy my friend. Nurse: what?! Where boyfriend?! Why no exercise?! Me: ahahahaha! My friend, no boyfriend yet. Nurse: oh no! No boyfriend no good na! No boyfriend, no exercise, cholesterol high high na! No good! Me: ahahahaa!!! You are funny! Nurse: hahaha! You same same! Very funny na! You look very funny my friend! Unsa?!?!?!? Ako funny?!?!?! Isagpa ko nimo karon ang stethoscope! Or kuhaan kaha tika og BP pero sa li-og nako kuhaon! Ahahahahahhaha!!!! Me: my friend. Finish?! Can i go! Nurse: yeah yeah! You not die. Relak relak ok?! Ret ret! Me: ret ret??? Nurse: yes!!! Sleep, ret ret same same! Ha?!?!?! PaSabta ko uy! Kalabad labad!!! Ahahahahahha!!! But seriously, thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. I am now doing good and going home. Good night everyone. God bless us all!
