Life is a party worth living! Dont miss your own party because youre afraid of making mistakes or worried about failure. During my Las Vegas competition I realized at 10:00pm on the evening of the show that for some strange reason I still had my music. Yikes! As soon I realized the show did not have my music, I went flying through the casino to catch the music man, umm... in my robe... ! ( Not exactly how I envisioned my competition going) I am sure I looked a little harried when the show photographer Gordon Smith let me into the theatre. Gordon Smith was just so down to earth, he really helped to calm my nerves while we waited for the DJ to come down. He asked me what really cool moves I was going to perform and helped me decide how to shoot my streamers off, which was something else I was worried about too. Well dont you know it would be the case, none of the things that I was worried about actually ever happened. Something else I never imagined happened instead, my shoes came untied during my Vegas routine. Yep thats RIGHT! But guess what? Nothing bad happened to me! It was kind of freeing in a way! Did I have fun? Heck yes!!!! After seeing the amazing pictures Gordon Smith of Fitness-Universe Tour took of me it really took me to a new level in my thinking. It was no longer about the score or what anyone else thought of me. I was laughing and smiling in every single photo. Yes, I was having FUN! The time of my LIFE in fact. I thank God for the ability to still do this at 51! Will I make mistakes again? Yes probably, but Im not going to worry about it, or hold me back because Im going to be too busy having FUN!
