Life is an amazing journey. I have made a lot of friends, I have lost a couple. Yet, the love from family and especially our children is an amazing unconditionally special possession. My three boys have created such joy in my life that I cant explain in words how much I love them. There are really only two perfect examples of unconditional love in the world, One is how God loves each and every one of us and the other is how a child loves their parent. About the only difference I can see between the two is that no matter what decisions we make in the world, God will always love us the same and our decisions will not affect that at all on Earth. Our children on the other hand will always feel the effects, the emotions, the circumstances, the outcomes and the after effects of every decision we make as parents. I feel so blessed that God has given me such a great heart and pure unconditional love for my three boys that no matter what happens in life, I know I will always have their love and they will always be in GREAT Hands under my guidance. Dylan made his daddy a picture, shown below that says God Love Us it really struck a deep cord in my heart. It reminded me of all the gifts that all three boys have made me over the last 19 years of my life with them. I have been made pictures, paper cut outs, folded paper books, letters, notes, special presents and lots of hugs and kisses. Nothing will ever be better than those pure, unconditional signs of love from them. I will continue to ask God for the wisdom, the grace and the faith to consistently make good decisions as a leader and mentor in their lives. I offer up to all parents a couple of verses to live by and know well: Ephesians 6: 1-2 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise Proverbs 11:29 He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.
