They shall be able to identify reliable and capable Vendors from Indian MSMEs Seats: Limited to 20 SMEs in the first phase Time: Three Years Support includes: Training, Coaching, International Exposure, Match-making with International Buyers, Financial support and assistance for R&D, Design, Development, Processes, Marketing, Quality Certifications, Expert, Testing Facilities etc. Investment: All above is supported financially under the MoU with IamSMEofIndia Only Administrative Fee shall payable IamSMEofIndia, as decided by IamSMEofIndia. STEP-1: INVITATION to SMEs presently in the field of Auto-components, Light & Heavy Engineering, Bio-Technology Following sectors 1. Sheet-Metal 2. Metal Cutting, CNC Turning, Precision Engineering & Machining 3. Die-Casting, Forging 4. Fabrication 5. Plastic and Rubber 6. Embedded software and IT 7. Precision Tools, Dies, Jigs, Fixtures and Moulds Eligibility & Criteria: * The screening of the participants would be done by the Selection Committee appointed by IamSMEofIndia * The selection will be done following the SWOT analysis for each of the companies applying for this programme. * Must be Tier-I or Tier-II supplier to Automobile Companies * Must have Quality Certification (ISO/TS/Any other) * Must have a Team Structure (Director/CEO, Production, QA, Development, Tool Room, Logistics/Stores) * Located anywhere in India SMEs meeting with above requirements, and interested in upgrading & upscaling their processes so as to become approved Vendors to Aviation, Aeronautical, Defense Sectors and some of the Largest Companies in the world, can apply to join this Cluster. STEP-2: Selection of SMEs by IamSMEofIndia and our Foreign Partner. (Decision by these two agencies shall be final and biding) Target: STEP 1 & 2 to be complete by 14th August 2013 STEP-3: Engagement meeting: An engagement meeting (CEO Level) would be organized for the participants to help them understand the critical aspects of the Aviation industry as well as advanced automobile manufacturing. Date: 23rd August 2013 Venue: New Delhi (The Lalit) The engagement meet will focus on 1. Identification of the gap areas of the participating companies 2. Areas of matchmaking with the SMEs. 3. Analysis of the SWOT based on which roadmap/ action plan for upscaling & up gradation of selected units. STEP-4: Exposure visit to our European Partner Country: September, 2013 (9 day exposure visit) An exposure would be undertaken for the Indian SMEs, based on the results drawn from the engagement meeting. The exposure visit will focus on identification of correct partners for matchmaking. And also help SMEs understand the best practices and Standards required. STEP-5: Workshop on standards for the Aviation and Automobile Sector: October 2013 The workshop will focus on the technology gaps and how to address those gaps subsequent to their exposure visit. STEP-6: Implementation of the Action Plan: 3 year Roadmap Upgradation of work place, Work Force establishment, Trainings, Monitoring, Evaluations, R&D support, Testing Facilities The above are broad steps and plan to implement the Project "Zameen Se Aasmaan Tak - Proud to say, IamSMEofIndia" This is a LIMITED once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
