Lifeguards at West Strand assisted the Portrush Inshore Lifeboat, Coastguard and PSNI in searching for a missing bodyboarder this evening, full search was carried out but nothing untoward found. Portstewart lifeguards also assisted a tired bodyboarder back to the beach on their Rescue Water Craft this afternoon. Strong winds and swell are creating lots of rip currents across the beaches, choose a lifeguarded beach and swim between the red and yellow flags folks!
