Light Slower Than Thought? Light travels at a mind-boggling speed of nearly 300,000 kilometers per second! US physicist James Franson now claims, based on his observations, that speed of light is slower than thought - an Upanishad statement known for time immemorial! A single strand of a spider web can cut through thick steel if moved with adequate velocity - another age-old Upanishad assertion, hard to believe but true! Our Vedas contain such countless profound assertions. Yet we are not proud of our heritage and want to follow alien culture!
