Like Conflicts Alike: Pealing back the multiple layers of media-mucous we notice a striking similarity between the driving interests contesting the Ukraine. On one side you have the Russian Oligarchs on the other side you have the Western Plutocrats; each small, tightly-knit, groups preying on the other in an attempt to save and enhance their respective power-base; each willing to toss their largely passive-submissive populations into the grinder of war. If you were to follow the media-mash of either side you will discover an equally surprising similarity; both are hard at work assuring their public of an external threat that is bound and determined to destroy them. Strange how the convenient lie simplifies the process of lying; our political system has become so accustomed to speaking in obfuscations it no longer concerns itself with keeping track of them. CG
