Like a Child Let the little children come to me, and do not - TopicsExpress

Like a Child Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Mark 10:14 Jesus told the disciples that the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like children, but what does it really mean to be like a child? Are we to be immature and naïve as children? Are we to be helpless and dependent? Children have an unshakable trust in their parents. They walk in faith daily, believing that their parents will keep their promises and will keep them safe. They wake with an air of expectation. They have a tendency to see good—even when their parents fall short. They have an innate ability to hold on to hope. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it” (Mark 10:15). God wants us to be like them. He wants us to trust Him, to have an expectation that He will answer our prayers, provide for our needs, deliver us from evil, heal our bodies, and lead us in the paths of righteousness. He wants us to have an unshakable faith in our God. For unlike parents who may break promises and make mistakes, He is infallible. All that He promises He does… and it is always good.
