Like anybody cared, but still… LaoZi is over. As it looks, “Lunatica” will be the final LaoZi album. Since late 2006, LaoZi has been a certain radiostation of my musical emotions. I’d like to thank all those who used to tune in. Indeed, nothing mattered in LaoZi’s music but emotion. Sound and details always played the auxiliary role at most. The feelings were linked with life experience, good and bad, it’s personal interpretation. There are many quite painful moments “broadcast” by LaoZi’s music. Of course, human mind is not a hard disk drive where you can delete anything you want once and for all, but I want it all be the property of one era: Era of LaoZi, which has just ended. This decision has been maturing in my brain for long. I’d like to say I’m not quitting music altogether, as I can’t survive without it. Perhaps, someday new music will be, but I doubt it will happen under LaoZi moniker again. I might release a “best-of” compilation as a final LaoZi release, I have yet to thing if it’s ever needed, if YOU need it. LaoZi is over, but LaoZi’s music still lives on. It is still the part of me and I won’t ever deny it. If, after years, it makes sense reexploring and sharing the past, it will happen. But until then, let us see… That’s all I wanted to tell.
