Like every year, the Grand Pujo Event of DREAMS OF LIFE was organized at 10 a.m. on the 21st of September near Rashbehari Avenue and adjacent to 66 Pally Club. At the Connector of Nepal Bhattacharjee Street and Baastuhara Bajar to be exact. At the event, we, the members of #DFL handed over a complete set of Dress to about 40 Children who reside at a nearby Slum. Each little boy was given a set of Dress containing a Kurta and a Payjama while each little girl was given a Frock. Apart from that, a Snacks Packet containing a Pattis, a Pastry, a Sweet and some Biscuits from Monginis were also handed over to each of them. The Children braved the Continuous Rain to attend the Event while the Members turned Volunteers matched shoulders to make the event a Grand Success ultimately. On the occasion, we invited MISS AISHWARYA MANDAL, a budding young Tollywood Actress , MR. CHANDRADIP CHATTERJEE, a residence Ward No. 83 & a renowned Lawyer and RJ RAJA of FRIENDS 91.9 FM as Special Guests for the Event. After the Opening Speech, the Guests were felicitated by our members and they gave individual speeches praising our effort. Later on, they handed over the Gifts to the Children while our members volunteered. BADG_EB i.e. BANGLAR AHANGKAAR DESHER GOURAB_EAST BENGAL, an EAST BENGAL Fan Club came forward to help us in our noble deed and their help is really appreciated. MR. ARITRO DAS and about 14 other members of BADG_EB was present at the event and they also handed over some stuff to the Children. It was a gesture of real appreciation from Team #BADG_EB. And, last but not the least, an Middle-Aged couple came all the way from ASANSOL to attend the event. The presence of MR. TAPAS SANYAL and MRS. MALA SANYAL was certainly the most emotional part of the Event and made the Event even more special for us as they are the parents of MR. AVISHEK SANYAL, an ardent East Bengal follower whose untimely demise on 2013 was due to a Kidney Failure. As the Teams of both #DFL and #BADG_EB held a minute of Silence in memory of the Young Man, their parents earnestly requested DFL to hold an event on the 29th of july every year in memory of their Son and promised that they will be present attend the Event every time no matter wherever in India they are. We really salute such Parents and remorse the untimely demise of their only son. Meanwhile, E-TV NEWS BANGLA Channel covered this Event along with bites from the members of both #DFL and #BADG_EB and have also telecast the Event on their Channel at 10:30 p.m. on 21/9/2014. the repeat Telecast of the Event will be aired at 8:30 a.m on 22/9/2014. The Smiles on the Faces of the Children after receiving the Gifts was Brighter than the Sun and the immense Mental Pleasure and Satisfaction we got by helping them and making them Smile, is really Indescribable.
