Like most people I sometimes wish for a different life, possibly a different identity & back history. Today was yet another totally random, ridiculous day in the life of Bridget. Its gotten to the point that my friends say why do you always have to do things the hard way? Trust me, I dont typically seek out the hard way. My coworkers just shake their heads at stories of my strange, bizarre luck & say only you! I try to find humor in the strange, random, & unconventional things that happen. I try to find the silver linings & the blessings, but sometimes I have to say not only only you but why me? Did you know Ive walked away from three incidents where experts have said I should have been killed (thats not counting the branch falling on the car with me in it this summer). So, I know i have to have a guardian angel. I live what I jokingly refer to as my khaki pants life. Im a relatively boring homebody but weird stupid things happen to me. Ive always been the good girl & never courted trouble so what gives?? Im currently stopped for food outside of St. Louis, as I return home from another random issue that I had to deal with today. Id really like a hug, some good chocolate, & maybe a drink when I get home. However, the last guy I dated I broke up with cause he got clingy, manipulative, & sorta scary. I have no chocolate or booze in the house and if I stop, knowing my luck Id get mugged. At least Ill get doggy kisses. Ok, Im done now...thanks for reading.
