Lilly, If women need to achieve equality and fairness, they must first disown the foolish religious believes and take charge of their life. Although not intentional, men historically used religion to intimidate and scare women, particularly the poor and illiterates. When religious finalism rises, crime against women too rises - this is a normal correlation. So, women wakeup for your freedom and liberty! If you starting thinking and act wisely at the polling station, no religious fanatic can destroy your life! The reality is that all believers, be it Hindus, Muslim or Christian are victims of their own illiteracy and slave mentality! Once people show the courage to get out of this mental slavery, we will be better off economically and socially. (I do acknowledge that there was a time when religion was relevant to control the cavemen with animal instincts and implement social justice though coercion!) The fact of the matter is that, humans from time to time for good reasons created religions. Some smart individuals during their time came up with the GOD concept to control the uncivilized and illiterate masses to be socially responsible. They have done a good job in enforcing social justice through coercion or blind believes at that time. Communists too did similar job during Carl Maxs time. Now, in civilized and educated societies like the US, people have learned to co-exist respecting humanity and individual freedom, which in turn lead to prosperity and quality of life. Once people get educated and learned to think rationally, all religion and communism become irrelevant in India too! Unfortunately, we may have to wait for a few more generations until our people learn to think rationally!
