Linda and I had a drink and Jalapeno poppers at the French Quarter Restaurant last night in uptown Charlotte. Afterwards we walked over to Starbucks and a lady walked past us carrying a familiar looking case. I said, "Is that a violin in that case?" She said it was and that she was on her way to rehearsal. I told her that my wife Linda here just received a violin from our kids and asked her if she could recommend anyone for tuning and lessons. She said she would be glad to pass on any information if you can email me. She gave Linda her email address. I asked her name and she said "Jane." Linda asked who she was rehearsing with. Jane said, "The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra." Jane Hart Brendle replied to Linda this morning with recommendations: The Violin Shoppe for tuning and her friend Evelyn Blalock for lessons.
