Linseed Tea The combination of water and oils (omega 3 essential - TopicsExpress

Linseed Tea The combination of water and oils (omega 3 essential fatty acids) are great at rehydrating the body: Put 2 level tablespoons of golden linseeds into a large pan with 1 litre of water. Bring to the boil (watch carefully as boils over very easily due to oil content, normally takes about 6 minutes so can be helpful to set an alarm), then switch off and cover overnight or for 8 hours. After resting time bring back to the boil again then turn down to a simmer for 1 hour. Turn off, drain off linseeds and throw them away, you are now left with your linseed tea. Straightaway pour into cups 2/3’s full and leave to cool, then cover and refrigerate. If you don’t do immediately before the tea starts to cool then the mixture becomes too thick to separate. To have tea, add hot water to the cup and stir to thin liquid. Have ½ hr before food. Best to drink in the morning before breakfast and/or before bed.
