Liquidating the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Now that common sense has finally opened our eyes, even the most naive and critic agrees the Constitution of Kenya 2010 is too expensive and extravagant to implement leave alone maintain. The wage bill is just the trigger, the debate the gun and a national referendum the bullet. When we are done debating, Kenyans and not UhuRuto will be demanding for a national referendum to do the following:- a) Scrap devolution and reinstate the former 8 provinces b) Out goes their Excellencies the Governors and County First Ladies c) Out goes all the Senators d) Out goes all the members of the County Assemblies e) Out goes the so called Constitutional Commissions and all their secretariats save for IEBC and may be, may be KNHRC Expect the following Constitutional amendment bills and amendment to Acts as quick win strategies pending referendum a) Boundaries delimitation, to give us less than 200 constituencies b) Review of terms of service for all State officers including chairpersons and members of constitutional commissions to provide for massive pay cuts void of allowances, part time tenure and a capped basic retainer c) An amendment to the 2/3 gender principle to maintain it at progressive as opposed to immediate compliance as is the situation with the county assemblies. Its our bed we must lie on it. It is our music which we compiled, we must dance to the tune.
