I have been married for 34 years and I welcome the wisdom that comes through a vessel thats surrendered to the will and word of the Lord. Delisa Lindsey I lie not. There have been times when I could have twisted my husbands neck right off of his body and I am sure the feelings have been mutual. But one thing I have never done is to dishonor him. When a husband is dishonored, his spirit is broken. The Bible says a man with a broken spirit is harder to reach than a city with great walls. (Prov. 18:9) That means that when a man shuts down against his wife, it will take the power of Almighty God to open his heart to her again. There is a difference between being mad and being mean. There is also a very thin line between love and hate. God made the woman for the man, not the other way around. I know we are women of God, but the anointing does not give us license to change scripture. Wives are to help their husbands. We are their help mates because they need help. They are men, they have beards, they are grown and have jobs but they still need the help of their wife. If you want to win the heart of your husband, he has to know that you have his best interest at heart. He has to know that He can confide in you and you not take it as a weapon against him. The wife who is noble and wise can take her husbands weakness, build him up so that those same weaknesses become his strengths. And if your husband has more problems than usual, then God requires YOU to spend more time with Him in prayer that YOU can help him overcome. Its your job wife, to help your husband. You promised God that you would stand beside him. I know that he did too, but when you do your part, you release Gods hands to do his. If you fight this battle in the flesh, you will lose and satan would have won the victory over your marriage. I say this to encourage all wives. I have walked this thing for 21 years, 11 years to Nabal and 10 years to Boaz. Wisdom can teach you a few things. Learn from your mistakes and those of others, dont repeat them.
